Katiepie Designs was established in June 2005 following the birth of my daughter Katie in the previous year. I wanted my daughter’s bedroom to be vibrant, interesting and something out of the ordinary, but I couldn’t find any art that reflected this, so I decided to paint my own, and so Katiepie Designs was born.
I have heard wonderful stories from customers, telling me how they have seen their children standing up in their cot and talking to each of the animals. I also know from experience how difficult it is trying to buy a gift for a young child. You want something a little bit different, something that they won't already have three of, something that won't get hidden at the back of the drawer or taken back to the shop, but proudly displayed as "the best gift we received".
I spent the first 18 years of my life in Stewarton, Scotland and now work and live in Hertfordshire with my husband Aidan, daughter Katie, son Archie and Max the dog. I am self taught and have had a love of art since for as long as I can remember. I am passionate about my work and I feel privileged that my work is being displayed in the rooms of your children.
